Overview

Nestled in the heart of Parit Raja, Johor, Warung Lempeng Sedap offers an authentic taste of traditional Malay breakfast with a focus on lempeng, a beloved local crepe. Situated along Jln 1, Taman Kelisa Jaya, this humble restaurant has quickly become a favorite for locals and travelers seeking a warm and satisfying start to their day.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly the lempeng. From the delicate, fluffy Lempeng Kosong served with sweet coconut syrup to the savory Lempeng Telur paired with a spicy dipping sauce, every bite highlights a balance of textures and flavors that comfort and excite. What truly sets Warung Lempeng Sedap apart is the variety of gravy options—from rich lamb curry to the tangy asam pedas—that elevate the humble pancake into a rich culinary experience.

Beyond lempeng, the menu embraces other iconic Malaysian breakfast staples. Dishes like mee goreng, kuey teow bandung with fresh shrimp, and nasi lemak ayam broaden the options, catering to diverse tastes. The presence of traditional beverages such as teh tarik and kopi o complement the flavors perfectly, making each meal complete.

The dining space maintains a casual and unpretentious vibe—ideal for morning diners who appreciate simplicity and friendly service. While the ambiance is homely, some visitors note a few areas for improvement in cleanliness, particularly around the lauk section, where flies can occasionally be a nuisance. Parking can be limited, so it’s best to arrive early, especially on weekends when the crowd picks up.

Warung Lempeng Sedap appeals to early risers and food enthusiasts eager to dive into genuine Johorean flavors without breaking the bank. Its quick service, variety, and menu authenticity make it a must-visit spot for those exploring Batu Pahat’s culinary landscape.

In summary, this eatery captures the essence of Malay breakfast culture with its showcase of lempeng and hearty Malaysian fare, served in a welcoming environment. Whether you’re craving a simple yet flavorful breakfast or an indulgent plate of curry-soaked pancakes, Warung Lempeng Sedap offers a memorable experience worth returning for.

Went on Saturday at 9am, but the roti prata was already sold out. This restaurant offers quite a variety—soto, roti kala, roti prata, lempeng, and nasi lauk. Overall, the food tastes good. I especially enjoyed the lempeng, which can be paired with gravies from the lauk section. Similar to some other restaurants, one challenge is that there are a few flies around the lauk section. Prices are reasonable, and the lady boss is friendly.

They serve it with a variety of dips and gravies – there’s a whole range to choose from! It’s such a treat to have so many options to enjoy with your lempeng. Aside from that, they also offer other classic breakfast items, so there’s something for everyone. One of the hidden & awesome breakfast locations in Parit Raja, Batu Pahat. As the name says, it specializes in Lempeng (Crepe) & Roti Jala which is deliciously prepared fresh from the stove for every order! Coupled with a wide variety of gravy options to go with your piping hot lempeng, its was a taste to remember! Other food available are the usual mee goreng, kuey teow goreng and mee hoon goreng, plus some nasi lemak which I saw during my day trip there. Cost: $$ (affordable) Parking: Quite limited though. They however can improve on the overall cleanliness of the place. Lotsa flies and u need to "shoo" them frequently.

Many options of side dishes to accompany the lempeng or pancake. The venue is understated with only a single banner so keep a sharp eye for the small entrance amidst the trees. Parking is very limited and tight. Try the plain and coconut lempeng with lamb curry. Does have other dishes like soto to complement the whole family.
